: : : : : : : : : : : Some of the airlines are canceling flights due to the high price of gas. I am wondering what kind of effect this is going to have on the Disney event. It didn't sound like a lot of people were planning on attending so some of those that were might not be able to get there.

: : : : : : : : : I completely agree, I know on the last event at Disney World, there was a break for the second person in the room, which would cut down on the cost by some $400 dollars, that alone would have been a great incentive to go and with airfare at some 400-500 per person it has made it completely out of the realm form our family. I would dearly like to have to event piece, as we did go to the first one and I would like to have a set. I do wish the new board the best and I will be visiting it often and posting when I can. I only hope I can secure an event piece at a reasonable cost.

: : : : : : : I know at the Disney event in 2004 and the cruise in 2006, they handed out to the people who were registered for the event. To my knowledge they did not sell any of the event piece at Disney World event and again on the cruise event. However, at the regional evnets at Valley Forge, Chicago, and Nashville, they did sell the extra event pieces. So, I really do not know what to tell you. I do feel that they will not sell the additional ones, but they did give away a good number of the extra cruise pieces and I believe they also gave away several extra "Mic and Savannah's" at Disney World. So, as to what will happen, I really don't know. We can hopefully find some one to get an extra.

: : : : : **What would be fair and reasonable would be that each person could choose there own hotel and then just buy tickets or something to attend the special events that they want too. Maybe some can't stay for the entire stay as well but would like to come to one or two of the events. I for one will NOT fly so the package deal is useless to me. I would cry being so close to Disney and not being able to go so I am glad that I live way up in Minnesota where nothing ever happens....lol!

: : : : I agree. Let us choose if we want to go to the disney part of it. Shoot I can get a much cheaper rate then what they did. I am so close yet so far away! I wish I could just pay for the first day or something.

: : : ***I also agree, here I am about a hour 15 mins. away, and have been to Disney at least 50 times in the last 20 years, I'm Disney'd out, I've gone there for birthday celebrations, anniversaries, reunions, I don't want to see those Mickey ears anymore.  If I could go for the day, meet some collectors who by the way are the best in the world as far as helping find information/getting CT's, get the event pc. have lunch or dinner and be on my way home by 9/10PM I'd love it.
: : : I just think that when they put these packages together their beyond the reach of most of the collectors.  Heck, its just me and my partner, both retired on fixed incomes, but I can't save $1900 in a year and I won't go into debt for a CT piece that should be worth $35.00 max.  I understand that there will be a limited amount to go around, but, Enesco you would think would be happy to sell more, say they have 400 pcs. and only 200 show up, they are still holding 200 pcs. unless as Steve said, they give them out as give-a-ways.  I know that living so close, I'm really disappointed that I can't go, I started to save, thinking maybe $1,000 if they took the cheaper hotels say sports/music those rooms go for $79.00 a night, then dinner at the buffet in the Contemporary, they could have saved the collectors some money, but they went over the top and with the economy in the shape its in, I'm not spending to make Disney or Enesco more millions.

: : I just went and priced out one person going to WDW for the same time frame and with the 2 day park hopper passes. The only thing I could not figure in would be the Micky's Very Merry Christmas Party, however, it went for $50. That would bring the total for 1 person excluding meals to $800 for the same time frame. With that in mind a reasonable amount for meals say $80 to $100 would bring it to $880. For someone to sell the event package an unreasonable price would be out of line, after all they had the benefit going to the event, the parks, etc.
: : I also priced out a room for 2 adults and it came to just over $1000 without meals and the Micky's Christmas Party. 
: : Again  the event should cost less for 2 people, since the room price is the same regardless if 1 or 2 people are in the same room.

: Where are you getting your prices from? 3-day park hopper ticket goes for like 169.00 a person. You can get a room in the surrounding areas right near disney for 69-100 a night.

: I just wish that enesco could have sold packages that don't offer all those extra frills.
