The Cherished Teddies Collection began in 1992 and has continued ever since as one of the top performing new collectibles. Early teddies remain sought after, but the prices of most figurines on the secondary market have come down after initial highs. As well as figurines the collection also includes ornaments and decorative accessories.

All the Cherished Teddies begin life as pictures by artist Priscilla Hillman (whose other collections include Calico Kittens, Priscilla's Mouse Tales, and My Blushing Bunnies).

Each Cherished Teddies Figurine carries a Certificate of Adoption which can be completed and forwarded to the Cherished Teddies Adoption Centre for registration. All the Cherished Teddies live in Cherished Teddies Town, and many of the figurines relate to specific collections.

The Cherished Teddies Club celebrates its 15th Anniversary in 2009 and remains one of the most popular collectors clubs and enables membears to receive joining gifts, the opportunity to buy exclusive Cherished Teddies and to keep up with all the latest bear happenings through the club newsletter, The Town Tatler.

For 2009 members also receive a Memory Box, which holds 4" x 6" photographs, a Photo Clip to hold your favourite photograph and the exclusive opportunity to purchase Membear-only Figurines, Clyde, Viola, and Bill & Linda. If members purchase all member bears they also receive Gaynor free.
