Spinakker is an unlimited edition, designed by Alastair MacIntosh, and first issued in 1988; it comes in 4 colours - Cobalt, Lime, Orange, Ruby.

Unlimited Caithness weights are marked with a letter, indicating the year of production, followed by a running number for that year: I'm not sure about production in 1988, but 87423 seems to be rather high; so I assume that what you read as "1-8" should be the leading letter (or just the "1-").
