Dartington Crystal saved the business last year and planned to move into a smaller unit next to the current Visitors Centre, but building work started 8 months ahead of schedule and ultimatly had a devestating effect on the summer trading. The factory is closing in Perth at the end of December and will then be re-located to a new site at the Crieff Visitors Centre from March next year, but only a limited number of workers will transfer and unfortunatly, none are the retail staff. Caithness Paperweights will still be desinged and made there however as the Collectors club will still be kept going. Fingers crossed this move is a success and Caithness can re-build for the future.
