Hi Marie,

The bottom of his hooves were visible on the photo - they were more rounded and had a rough base (I know this as I have had the fake version of this foal once myself, bought as genuine, closer inspection was fake) - so on closer inspection of the photo it was the hooves that definately gave it away.
I was told at the time (back when I was new to collecting) that he was a fake and there were 'dud' models going around of the 'Black Satin' foal.

It is often very difficult/ almost impossible to tell fakes from photos, but on this particular foal it is easily noticed by the undignifed shape and difference to the hooves.
