What leads you to think this foal was a fake?
As this foal was an early model and was produced for many years in a range of colours, there would have been many molds of this model, not all of them identical, without actually touching, feeling the weight and having real hands on contact with this foal, then you can only advise that this is in your opinion a fake.
I have 28 of these foals and I am confident they are all genuine even with the slight variation which comes with year of manufacture and mold wear, I have only been collecting for the past 50 years so again this would just be in my opinon.
