: Black light isn't 100% perfect in spotting restoration , you just need to use common sense, its like spotting a repaired car , is the paint the same colour , does it seem new , does it feel different. I once spotted a pair figures that were £200 and one had two chips on it . i did not buy them but about 4 weeks later they were on sale at an antiques fair for £700 in perfect condition ,when i asked about any repairs i was told that as far as they knew they were fine but check them myself ( thats the standard answer when they know they have beed restored )
