The Western Pony came in Woodgrain - how big is it? You could check pony lagoon they should have it listed there. It's one of the less common ones. When they pop up on ebay I think I've seen them up around $100 or more - depends on the condition, though.

: Are you sure it's a Breyer? There are a lot of the oldies that look very similar and neither Pony Lagoon nor my Felicia Browell collector's guide mention that it came in a woodgrain color.

: The Breyer Western Horse has the mane on the left side of the neck. I believe that Hartland has the mane on the right side of the neck. There are a lot of copy-cat companies out there too though, so if yours is on the left side then it's possible that it's one of those.

: Here's a link to the Pony Lagoon page for the Western Horse: http://ponylagoon.muerte.net/molds/westernhorse.shtml

: Here's a link to the Hartland Collectibles page and there's a picture of their version of the Western Horse a little ways down the page:

: : I have 5 Breyer horses, three of which are old. One of the oldies is a Western Horse #57, in the woodgrain decorator color. I would like to get an idea of its value. It was my Aunt's toy in the late 50's, as far as I know. Any info is appreciated...
