Five bucks, eh? I'd say that's a steal, considering that individual 2-chapter volumes of this LP set are going for $10 on eBay, and the 4 LP of "Through the Looking Glass" is going for $40. And it's not available on CD at the moment. All I can say is that some of my fondest memories from childhood were of listening to the sets we had of both "Alice in Wonderland" and "Through the Looking Glass." Mr. Ritchard does all the characters' voices, and sings all the songs and poems, which are set to music by Alec Wilder. The actor may be better known to you as the originator of the character of Captain Hook in the original Broadway cast of "Peter Pan." Johnny Depp ripped off his fey pirate captain for the "Caribbean" movies, but Mr. Ritchard was the first. I guess you don't have kids, but this is a great way to be introduced to one of the classics. If none of your friends with children are interested, I'm sure there is someone looking for this on eBay.
